Entries are open to all PGA Professionals, PGA Apprentices and any declared professional golfer. Entries are also open to any amateur golfers who have a handicap index of 5.0 or less. All amateur applicants must conform to the USGA Rules of Amateur Status. Any amateur entry that does not meet the above criteria will be rejected with a $10.00 processing fee.
Up to a 140 player field will compete over three days on the Timpanogos Championship Course from the Gold Tees. The field will be cut to 40 low professionals and 40 low amateurs for the final round. There will be a Senior Professional and Amateur payout for the the first 36 holes of play.
PGA Affliated Professionals: $250
Non Affiliated Professionals: $350
Withdrawals prior to September 16th will be issued a refund minus a $30 processing fee. Withdrawals after September 16, 2020, will not receive a refund except in cases of extenuating circumstances, which will be handled on a case-by-case basis. All refunds are at the discretion of the Championship Committee.
All participants may request tee times for the 1st and 2nd rounds. Requests will be looked at by the Committee on a first come, first serve basis but are not guaranteed. Players must play once in the AM tee time block and once in the PM tee time block over the first two rounds. Should a player make the cut, all tee times and pairings will be made based on the players two day total score. No exceptions will be made.
Tee Times will be sent via email and or text message Monday, September 21, 2020.
Caddies are permitted for participants who choose to walk or ride. Golf carts are available to all players, however, a maximum of two carts will be allowed per group of three. No spectator carts will be allowed at any time during the Championship.
There will be no official practice round dates. Players may play two practice rounds in the month of September at a rate of $32 for 18 holes w/cart. Please let Pro Shop staff know when booking your tee time of your desire to play a practice round. Practice Round discounts are only available to 2020 Championship participants only.
The Championship Committee reserves the right to alter any of the conditions, provisions, and/or schedules herein. The decision of the Championship Committee in any matter will be final.
Timpanogos Golf Club may reject an entry application, revoke any registration, expel from the Championship and/or suspend a player from future championships if the player engages in conduct detrimental to the integrity and image of the game of golf. Such conduct may include, but is not limited to, damage to the golf course or the player’s equipment, verbal or physical abuse of officials, volunteers, spectators, or TGC staff, blatant or excessive profanity, disorderly behavior, failure to abide by the rules, or any other unbecoming conduct.
